Uyuni

Pescado Island, in the middle of the salt flats, complete with an extinct volcano.

The old salt hotel right on the salt flats. The new hotels are beside the flats.

The Uynui are the world's largest salt flats, and we got to see it during the rainy season.

The train graveyard was actually very interesting. The railroad doesn't function anymore.

Uyuni is one of Bolivia's more famous sites and it is really something to see. We loved it. You can drive for hours and not reach the other side. In fact, if you rent your own vehicle, you have to careful not to get lost and run out of gas!
